From The President’s Pen By Judy Jackson
There are many politicians and voters who claim to be Pro-Life but use “proportionate reason when it comes to the abortion issue. Judi Brown of American Life League states “Proportionate reason is when we will be able to explain, with a clean heart, to the victims of abortion when we meet them face to face in the next life – which we most certainly will – and that these victims will accept our motives as something more than an alibi. Can you imagine standing before the chorus of aborted preborn babies who are with God in eternity and stating “I am sure you can understand that while I was personally opposed to abortion on earth, I never wanted to impose my beliefs on anyone. I had no problem supporting powerful people who worked very hard to make sure that people like you could continue to be killed, if that is what their mother wanted. Abortion should be legal for those people, and so I voted for those who agreed.” How many politicians and for that matter, voters do you know who believe the above statement? We, as Pro-Lifers, must take a stand for the unborn all the time, but most especially in an election year. VOTE PRO LIFE has never been more important than in the 2008. Remember, when election time rolls around, that the pro-life issue is always paramount. Consistently voting for life does not make Christians single-issue voters. Rather, it makes them sensible ones. Without the right to life, all other human rights are meaningless There are many opportunities to get the above message out. Conduct voter registration at your church, pass out information about how the candidates stand on Pro-Life issues, work at our 4H Fair booth where we will have much information on voting Pro-Life, talk to your family members, friends and neighbors, write letters to the editor, submit articles for our newsletter, attend the BCRTL banquet on September 23 where you will hear our featured speaker David Beiret of 40 Days for Life (More info in the next issue and on the new web site). If your church wants to sponsor Voter Registration there is a Voter Registration in a Box kit available from Indiana Right to Life. You can contact David Koontz, VP of Development, at davekoontz@protectinglife.com for more information. The “Voter Registration in a Box” includes Vinyl banner promoting voter registration, Tony Dungy DVD, 100 registration forms, Jim Bopp’s overviews of what a church can and can’t do, a sheet with answers to frequently asked questions related to voter registration and Church bulletin artwork.

Planned Parenthood Parking Facility in Cincinnati
Planned Parenthood is building a parking facility. Now ,why would they need a parking facility? Unless the abortion business is once again using a fictitious name on papers filed with local city officials to get approval to build a new abortion business without tipping off pro-life advocates. Very close to us, the Cincinnati, Ohio-based Planned Parenthood has filed papers for a new abortion center using the name Auburn Avenue Parking. Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Ohio in Cincinnati has purchased property near Western Hills High School for an additional office. However, it purchased the land under the deceptive name. Just as it did in Aurora, Illinois under the name Gemini Office Development, and in Denver, Colorado as Fuller38, Planned Parenthood bought the property under a name that would not be associated with its evil empire. But word got out to pro-life forces and they are gearing up for an all-out fight against this new Planned Parenthood facility. Pro-life advocates plan on holding public meetings to notify residents of the community about the tactics. Paula Westwood of Right to Life of Cincinnati says the abortion business appears to be targeting young women and minorities. "Significantly, students are bussed to Western Hills High School from other areas of the city, and the student population is predominantly African American," she explained. "Within a few miles are also several large Catholic High Schools." "Planned Parenthood historically, and still, targets minority populations - African Americans and now also Hispanics - for its services, including abortion," she said.

By Their Fruits Time Line... Margaret Sanger By Tony Hillen
1912 --- The volume of information about the life of Margaret Sanger is extremely large, to say the least. In a very real sense, her existence and subsequent involvement in the pro-death(abortion) movement could be rightly encapsuled in three stages. The first stage actually existed before she did. By this we mean that Sange r stepped into history at just the right time. In our former articles, we have noted the influence of Lyell on Darwin and Darwin on Haeckel. However, Darwin was also greatly influenced by Robert Thomas Malthus(overpopulation) and Darwin's cousin, Francis Galton(eugenics). Additionally, other minor characters should be mentioned in giving a panoramic view of this time period: Karl Marx(social Darwinism), Frederick Nietzsche(racism), Herman Hesse(nihilism), Herbert Spencer(survival of the fittest) and Julius Welhausen(new age theology). Each of these writers/philosophers exerted great influence in the mid to late 19th century in three pivotal nations: America, Germany and England. It was on this stage of civilization that a young nurse from New York would enter. We found three different dates for Sanger's birthdate, 1878, 1879 and 1883. While this point is not of great importance, it gives our patrons an idea of how muddled some of the information is about this woman. Further, we have often been struck in our studies of biographies, by the events in individual lives that cause a definite change of direction in life(good or bad) for the person being studied. This is sometimes referred to as a catharsis or cathartic event. For Darwin it was the death of his daughter Annie in 1851, for Ernst Haeckel is was the reading of Darwin's Origin... in 1859 and for Margaret Sanger it would be the death of a young, Jewish woman named Sadie Sachs in 1912. This second stage is when Sanger worked in New York city among the immigrants and ethnic ghettos. She had a first hand view of: high density population, the poorest of health practices, disease and severe limitations on medical care. She witnessed the death of Sadie Sachs, during childbirth, at the age of 28. By this time, Sanger had already forged some alliances regarding her liberal views concerning birth control and sterilization. Perhaps the most striking thing in all the reading I've done about Margaret Sanger has been her view of humanity and the procreative process. The term "unfit", in reference to huge numbers of people, was used by her as a matter of course! Placing herself and her allies above just about everybody, Sanger(in her own mind) became judge, jury and executioner for thousands and millions yet to come. So, the death of Sadie Sachs was the impetus for a new frontier in evolutionary thinking and the third stage of Sanger's legacy of evil. That is, that eugenics(genetic manipulation, sterilization and abortion) would become much more political than before. Sanger published, rallied and formed groups culminating in what we now know as Planned Parenthood in 1942. She traveled to Germany and greatly influenced Hans Lehfeldt and a young Austrian politico named Adolph Hitler. Lastly, isn't it ironic that Sanger's goal in all this was world peace through population control and her method would be UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE! Just think, we now teeter on the brink of Sanger's health care goal. Clearly, we could go on for days retelling the story of Margaret Sanger. Because of time and space, we will stop here. However, we hope to remind our patrons that we, in the pro-life communty, still deal with seeds that were sown long ago. This is why we must stand stronger and firmer than ever against the evil of abortion. Next issue: John Dewe

Woman Sentenced to 14 Years for Death of Unborn Baby. by Catherine Myers
In suburban Cincinnati, a woman who caused the death of an unborn baby last August will spend the next fourteen years in prison. In this sad case, Shauna Willenburg was driving while intoxicated when she ran through a stop sign at US 50 and State Route 33 in Clermont County. Willenburg hit another car, causing a woman in the car, Stephanie Mezger Lloyd, to lose her unborn child. Judge Jerry McBride, Clermont County Common Pleas Court, sentenced her to six years in prison for the death of the unborn baby, five years for aggravated vehicular assault on the child's mother and three years for aggravated vehicular assault on the child's father.
While much of the media focus has been on the drunken driving aspect of this sad case, those with pro-life beliefs should immediately recognize and be encouraged by the pro-life implications in the sentence. Shauna Willenburg received time in prison for causing the death of a “fetus”. However, if you are in the pro-abortion camp, what’s the big deal? Aren’t pro-abortion doctors doing the same thing all around the country, including those who perform the hideous partial-birth abortions? What makes Willenburg any different from those doctors who terminate a woman’s pregnancy?
This case is encouraging for a number of reasons. First, it validates the personhood of the unborn. Willenburg clearly was sentenced to prison for causing the death of a person, not just a fetus. Second, it validates the viability of the unborn, making another case against partial-birth abortion. Mezger Lloyd was eight months pregnant when her unborn son died. He was at a stage of fetal development where he could have survived outside the womb, as is the case in most partial-birth abortions. Third, the sentence validates the value of the life of the unborn; if the baby’s life was of no value, Willenburg would have only been sentenced for vehicular assault on the adults. Finally, it validates the pain and suffering caused to the parents over the death of their unborn child. Robert Lloyd, the father of the unborn baby, said in his emotional court testimony, “She took (our baby) from us…try walking into a baby’s room that you spent two weeks painting and putting an outline on…you have no idea how that feels.”
Keep in tune to the media over the next few months, to see how the pro-abortion side will respond to this sentence. Cases with outcomes like this are clearly a threat to the pro-abortion position, especially to partial-birth abortion, and are usually fought over in court. In the meantime, please keep the Lloyds in your prayers as they continue to recover from this accident, and please pray for Shauna Willenburg as well.
The Lloyds named their unborn son Caden Scott Lloyd.

What does YOUR Bank Do With YOUR Money?.
Are you currently banking with National City? Maybe it's time to take your business elsewhere.
Planned Parenthood of Indiana is proudly touting National City as one of the top sponsors of its "Gathering of Goddesses and Gods" event that was held on April 12 in Indianapolis. The event, billed as "a two-hour pampering session that included massages, spa treatments, and psychic readings" reportedly raised over $200,000 for Indiana's largest abortion provider. Planned Parenthood of Indiana is annually responsible for the deaths of nearly 6,000 unborn children in its three Indiana abortion clinics.
According to National City's web site, it currently operates 173 Indiana branches throughout Indiana, including 69 in Indianapolis, 15 in Fort Wayne, and 14 in South Bend.
Indiana Right to Life is calling for a boycott of National City over its support of Indiana's largest abortion provider. If you currently bank with National City, you are urged to close all of your accounts and to encourage any family and friends who bank with National City to do the same. Even if you don't currently bank with National City, let them know that you will not consider them for services in the future as long as it supports Planned Parenthood.
It is very important that you communicate the reasons for your actions to your local National City branch manager as well as to National City's top corporate official:
Stephen A. Stitle Chairman, President and CEO National City Bank of Indiana 101 West Washington Street Indianapolis, IN 46255
Additional sponsors of the "Gathering of Goddesses and Gods" event listed by Planned Parenthood of Indiana include: Cummins, Emmis Communications, NUVO, WFYI, Sommer Barnard PC, University Obstetricians-Gynecologists, Inc., the Indianapolis Recorder, and the Indiana Minority Business Magazine.
