From The Presi dent’s Pen By Aaron Hankins. Pro-Lifers Must Promote Marriage
Statistics show that more than eighty percent of all abortions are performed on unmarried women. The abortion ratio for unmarried women is 510 abortions for every 1,000 live births compared to only 61 abortions performed on married women for every 1,000 live births. While ending abortion altogether through the political process is the main goal of all Pro-Lifers, promoting and encouraging marriage is the best solution to drastically reducing abortions in America until a Constitutional Human Life Amendment is passed.
Some of these unmarried women might be older or divorced when they get pregnant, yet the majority of these unmarried women who receive abortions are under the age of 25 and have never married. Statistics show that forty-seven percent of women who have had abortions had at least one previous abortion. This means that the vast majority of all abortions are a result of abortions performed on young, unmarried women.
These women are easily targeted by abortion providers and coerced into abortion because of their singleness, their lack of financial and marital security and because of their low levels of emotional and spiritual maturity. Marriage is the biggest preventative measure against both elective and coerced abortions. Why? Marriage leads to maturity, responsibility and financial security for both the husband and wife. And second because married couples know that they are supposed to get pregnant and have babies. That is the natural course of marriage. When a newly married couple find out the wife is pregnant the first thought that crosses their minds is not whether they should keep the baby, but what they should name the baby.
Yet unmarried singles only think about themselves and their future. They place educational and career goals ahead of marriage and family. They place personal dreams and desires ahead of parenting and childrearing. They place independence and unbridled hedonism ahead of maturity and sacrifice. And when they are faced with a tough decision as a consequence of their immoral and irresponsible behavior, they are not mature enough to take responsibility for their actions. So they choose abortion as an acceptable choice of convenience. It is not a shock to find out that ninety-five percent of all abortions are due to social reasons not for health issues.
Americans are delaying marriage longer than ever before and this, greater than any other cause, has led to our nation’s high level of abortion. Our nation’s acceptance and promotion of delayed marriage and single adulthood has fueled the immaturity and irresponsibility that results directly in sexual immorality, co-habitation, rejection of marriage and abortion. Parents, our public education system, the media, movies, music, and yes, especially our churches, have promoted this glorification of extended and perpetual adolescence.
We must reject this exaltation of adolescence and free-spirit singleness and return to preparing, promoting and encouraging adults (those who have reached and are soon to reach the age of 18) to marry. Lives are at stake.

June is abortion awareness month in the black community This portion of our timeline is not specifically about an individual but about more of a shift in thought. Humanism makes no bones about its sinister and evil intentions. Those intentions being a radical change for America (and ultimately the world) away from the Judeo/Christian heritage that our nation was founded upon. It's no surprise that the 15 tenets of Humanist I(1933) start with atheistic evolution:
Tenet One -- Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created Tenet Two --- Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as a result of a continuous process Interested parties can read the rest of this nonsense at their leisure. It is, of course, found easily at the library or on the internet. We wanted to make a couple of points about this marker in the history of our country. The first point is that it has only been eight years since the Scopes trial (1925) and that John Dewey (whom we have already studied) is a leader/signer of this insidious work. Dewey is famous for his connection with Columbia University, the alma mater of Barry Obama! The second point is that the Humanist Manifesto would serve as a guide to many of those who were (and are) influential in higher education. It was only a matter of time until this leaven of the GOD haters would filter down to all public education in the US. Pro-lifers should be reminded that, at this writing, 1933 is only 76 years ago! Support all alternatives to public education!!

Please Don’t Hurt Me Mommy
By Andrew Byers, Indiana
Please don’t hurt me mommy. I am helpless, too. But when I get older, I’ll be there for you.
I can move my fingers. I can move my toes. I’m a real person, even if you don’t show.
I know you feel sorrow. I know you feel pain. But just wait ‘til you see my smile, You have so much to gain.
I’m sorry you are troubled. I’m sorry for your strife. But I’ll love you anyway, If you just give me life.
Please don’t hurt me mommy. I don’t know what to do.
Someone is trying to kill me, And I think that someone is you.

Traitors --- by Tony Hillen/Director, Seven Baskets When we, as a ministry, decided to get involved with the pro-life movement, our goal was to help many pro-lifers realize and understand the connection between atheistic evolution and abortion. We have done our best to do this. Sadly, all too many people, believers or not, haven't grasped this root issue. Our new president (Obama) proudly affirms that he 'believes' in evolution and then in the next breathe asserts that science will now be allowed to flourish without the ball and chain of religious convictions (my paraphrase). In the first place, science is NOT supposed to be about belief. It is supposed to be about what can be proven to be true by observation, repetition and honest reporting (testing). This is why the creation model is easily the best one to explain our existence and our world. However, not to be swayed by facts, local newspapers and their pawns in the so-called religious community, continue to work like demonic coal miners to destroy the Bible and any hint of the CREATOR. Witness a recent article by a Unitarian minister that seemed to assert that science is really imagination! We chose our heading from 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 We're going to assume that our readership knows what a traitor is. Now look around you and take notice. You couldn't write a better description of our current day than these verses in 2nd Timothy. Regrettably, in the near term, science may very well flourish but not for good. With their champion (Obama) in full stride, mercy killers, abortionists and mutilators of every sort, will enjoy unmolested freedom to rake in money hand over fist and worship their blessed idol - DEATH. So, we move forward as surely as ever trusting the LORD and knowing that, however dark things may seem, the GOD of heaven will do the final accounting. I'll let it set with HIM.

Majority of Americans Say They're Pro-Life Source: LifeNews.com WASHINGTON, DC - A new Gallup poll shows that the majority of Americans self-identify as pro-life on the issue of abortion for the first time in 15 years. The Gallup survey shows the percentage of Americans saying they are pro-life at its highest point since 1995 and those saying they are "pro-choice" at its lowest.
The Gallup survey, conducted May 7-10, finds 51% of Americans calling themselves pro-life and just 42 percent saying they are "pro-choice" and supporting legal abortions.
The poll finds a plurality of women say they are pro-life -- with 49 percent saying so and just 44 percent saying they are "pro-choice." Men favor the pro-life position on a 54 to 39 percent margin. Both numbers are record highs for the pro-life position.
The 9 percent pro-life majority is a stark change from last year, when the Gallup survey showed a 6 percent majority in favor of abortion. Before the current poll Gallup had the pro-life percentage at its highest at 46 percent in both August 2001 and May 2002.
The Gallup poll also shows more Americans support making abortions illegal than at any point in the past 15 years.
About as many Americans now say abortions should be illegal in all circumstances (23%) as say it should be legal under any circumstances (22%). Another 53 percent of Americans say abortions should be legal, but only under certain circumstances.
Gallup does not define those circumstances, but other polling data shows a majority of Americans oppose the lion's share of abortions, with a majority wanting abortions illegal except in cases such as saving the life of the mother, and rape or incest -- which, combined, constitute less than 2-3 percent of all abortions.
Supplementing those other poll results, an expended Gallup question in its new survey found 50 percent of Americans want abortions illegal or illegal in most cases, while just 37 percent want abortions legal in all or most cases. The rest were unsure.
The results came in Gallup's new Values and Beliefs survey, but the pro-life majority also showed up in Gallup's daily tracking poll on a number of political issues.
There, the self-identifying question showed a 50-43 percentage point majority.
The reason for the new pro-life majority, Gallup indicates, is because Republicans are becoming more pro-life.
The percentage of Republicans (including independents who lean Republican) calling themselves pro-life rose by 10 points over the past year, from 60% to 70%, while there has been essentially no change in the views of Democrats and Democratic leaners.
Republicans now take a 70-26 percentage point pro-life view whereas Democrats support abortion 61-33 percent, with the numbers staying roughly the same over the last five to ten years.
The Gallup poll showed 71 percent of the people who say they are conservatives are pro-life, 45 percent of moderates say they are pro-life, and 19 percent of liberals say they are pro-life. The numbers are new highs over the last 15 years for the first two political groups while liberals have stayed at around the 20 percent mark for over a decade.
Gallup also showed pro-life increases among religious groups with 59 percent of Protestant Christians, a new high, saying they are pro-life. Some 52 percent of Catholics identify themselves as pro-life, tying a previous high, and 31 percent of people who identify with no religion say they are pro-life, one short of a previous high.

Americanism By Mark Weigel Let me start with a writing I did when I was 11 years old dated March 14, 1968..
I am glad I live in America. We have many privileges which other countries do not have. In this great land of America we have freedom of worship, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of petition and freedom to assemble in a peaceful manor. Our government serves the nation from ocean to ocean including our two new states I have visited some of our old forts used when our country was fighting for the five freedoms we have, and I think of the song America. My country ‘tis of thee, sweet land of liberty. When I visited Abraham Lincoln’s home in Springfield, Illinois and saw the many things in his home that he really used when he was living there. I began to understand a little more about the history of our country.
This is the beginning of a paper written in an Americanism contest I participated in while in the fifth grade. This was five years before the rights of the unborn were taken away in 1973. I don’t think abortions would be described as a privilege of living in America in the year 1968. As I recall, it was frowned upon and considered an abomination to our bodies and unfair to human life. No wonder it was illegal. In our classroom, we stood up and said the Pledge of Allegiance, and then had a moment of silent prayer. Americanism was a part of our daily lives. Americanism included God.
As our summer hits the middle of the season, we celebrate a holiday to remember the birth of a new country. The birth of the five freedoms granted to us all living in this country. The birth of my country, the sweet land of liberty.
The privilege of the freedoms granted by our founding fathers should not be overlooked. These are rights established on the birth certificate of our nation. When George Washington addressed the Constitutional Convention, he stated “If, to please the people, we offer what we ourselves disapprove, how can we afterwards defend the work? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God” And with that request, God did deliver a strong and mighty nation founded on the Biblical principles held dear by Christians all over the land. Both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution with the first ten Amendments (known as the bill of rights) are all based on biblical teachings. We are a Christian nation, as least we started out that way. When the mid-summer holiday rolls around, please remember how we came to celebrate the holiday. Independence Day is not normally celebrated as a Christian Holiday. Maybe it’s time to celebrate God and Country every summer, and in that order.
My fifth grade report on Americanism continues on about other presidents and trips to historical museums. The last paragraph reads: All these things are interesting to see and read about because these are so many people who have helped to make this country of America the wonderful land that it is. I am glad to live in America. I was awarded second place in my age group for this report.

Come What May Summer Movie Looking for a great summer movie night video? Check out the newly-released DVD "Come What May" now available in Christian bookstores everywhere. Filmed through the cooperation of Patrick Henry College and hundreds of homeschool students, the high-quality film follows the struggles of a college student who must prepare a legal argument for overturning Roe vs. Wade. Solid, thought-provoking entertainment for the whole family. The Story: With his mother a lawyer and his father a professor, Caleb Hogan has grown up understanding the importance of stating his case, backing it with facts, and choosing what's right ... Come What May. This ability has served him well in his internship at his mother's law firm and it has guided him to the college with the best Moot Court team. But has it prepared him to deal with the collision-course elements of the most important legal issue of our time? When does life really begin? Coming face-to-face with the realities and legalities of the abortion issue—both in preparation for the National Moot Court championship and as his mother prepares to argue a high-profile case before the Supreme Court—Caleb must decide what he truly believes. Wherever he lands will have consequences. If he takes the pro-life argument, he stands to lose the most important competition of his life—and the support of his mother. If he follows his mother's lead, he could win the coveted title ... but lose the heart of his teammate Rachel in the process. Along with her professor and classmates, Rachel not only understands the strength of the pro-life arguments, she believes them to her core. Life, from its beginning, exists to honor God. For Rachel, that plays out in her Moot Court arguments and in her daily life. Can Caleb find that same conviction? Can he win the heart of Rachel in the process? While compromise might be the easiest solution, it could also be the most dangerous.
Come What May is a vivid reminder that choosing what's right is never easy ... but it's always worth the cost.
