Bartholomew County Right to Life does not endorse any specific candidate, but we hope you will examine the individual of your choosing to be sure he stands for the rights of the Unborn by being standing behind the sanctity of Human Life!
 

WHAT IS BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY RIGHT TO LIFE?

Bartholomew County Right to Life is a non-profit organization whose purpose is the protection of life for all human beings from conception to natural death. Our members believe there is a fundamental human rsponsibility to respect and protect the dignity and unique value of each human life.
 

WHY IS RIGHT TO LIFE NEEDED?

At one time YOU were developing in your mother’s womb and were legally protected as a human life. However, on January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court declared that the baby in the womb is not a legal person and therefore is not entitled to protection under the law during the term of his or her development. Since that deplorable ruling, millions of unborn children have been-and are being-legally killed.

A society that accepts the legal right to kill infants in the womb because they might be unwanted, less- than-perfect, or merely inconvenient will eventually find little difficulty in claiming the right to kill human beings outside the womb who would be judged “undesirable” according to some contrived legal standard of human worth. As human beings we must not let personal desire for “quality of life” diminish or destroy respect for the dignity and value of human life itself.
 

AS MEMBERS OF RIGHT TO LIFE,
WE BELIEVE

* Human life begins at conception
* Each human life is a unique creation of special value
* The killing of innocent unborn children is murder and must be stopped

We also believe the lives of the elderly and the “less than perfect” must be respected and protected Right to Life is needed to act as a voice for those who are as yet unable to speak and defend themselves We are committed to work as though someone’s life depends on us - it does!

Late in the second trimester of development (5 to 6 months), healthy babies are often aborted alive- moving breathing but are allowed to die through negated, or are sometimes killed by a direct act. The law of our land says they are non persons merely pieces of tissue, the products of abortion.
The consequences of the Supreme Court’s judgment have resulted in the killing of millions of unborn children This judgment while “legal” is medically and morally unconscionable it dehumanizes us as individuals and as a nation, and must be changed.

Every January, The Bartholomew County Right to Life places a signature add in the Sunday Columbus Republic newspaper around the anniversary of the Row V. Wade decision.
